Dear SCU Affiliates/Contributors and 2019 Conference Attendees:
In light of our current global pandemic crisis, we have decided to cancel this year's SCU Conference to assure your safety along with that of the other attendees and all of your families. We will miss seeing you this year, but hope you will join us next year.
For those who have registered already, I will be cancelling the event online and refunding your registrations. You should see the refund on your credit cards within 3-5 business days. Let me know if you do not see this.
The hotel has been notified of the cancellation. You should be able to cancel online, if not, call them directly. If you booked your flights already, please contact the airlines directly. I am told that they are presently busy with handling the more immediate flights (March and April) than those in June so it could take some time, but they are being cooperative.
In lieu of the conference, we are looking into possibly delivering monthly podcasts under the SCU banner. The intent is to give you all something to chomp on until we meet again next year. These podcasts will likely be one hour in length, scientific in focus, and include many of the planned presenters. We are also attempting to pull together a panel show if we can work out the technical details to do this. I will send you all the details once we solidify them.
Please contact me with any questions or concerns. On behalf of the Board of SCU, we wish you all the very best. Please stay safe and we hope your families are as well.
Thanks for all you do!
